do you really?

May 18, 2014

You don’t want a relationship either.

I honestly don’t.

I’m young. And attractive. And I have my whole life ahead of me. To travel. And meet new people. And have flings and fun and all the things you wouldn’t want to tell your parents about.

And we don’t really get along that well.

Okay that’s a lie. We get along famously, even though there are lots of things we don’t agree on.

But yeah. We don’t agree about so many things. And our backgrounds are so different. Our cultures.

Yeah but doesn’t that make it more interesting? More exciting? More things to discuss more things to explore, more things to discover?

Shuddup. No.

We want comfortable. We want someone with the same background. Who will know asian customs and manners. Who will know to call your grandma when he comes to visit. Who will be able to understand your family during chinese new year. Who will have no religion, but who doesn’t mind the bhuddist-taosit traditions your family practice. Someone who is just like you. Comfortable. Convenient.

No we don’t want that. That is fucking boring.

ALright. So it’s boring. But even if you don’t want that, it doesn’t mean that you want HIM. And not now. Yeah, if you love him and want to be with him, it’ll be fun traveling the world with him. But it would also be fun to travel the world, ALONE. Where you can meet new people. Make new friends. It will be amazing. AMAZING.

So no, we are decided?

We are decided. We miss the love. We want the love, but no. We’re not ready to be settled anyway. So the fact that he’s not interested in a relationship as well is just a little sting to your ego, but not that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things.
